As a member firm we are kept informed of the ever changing raft of new regulations and must adhere to a strict code of practice. This means you have recourse if we fail to act correctly.

The NAEA also operate a bonding scheme to cover all client monies held by member firms. In other words, any money we hold on behalf of your or your tenant is insured. An annual accountant’s undertaking is required to confirm Members “Client Bank Accounts” are being correctly administered.

Unfortunately membership is voluntary so many Estate and Letting  Agents can and often do, operate with little knowledge of the law and no insurance.

For you as the innocent client, facing prosecution for breaking laws you were never told about can be a traumatic experience. It is alway wise therefore, to instruct a reputable agent who belongs to a recognised professional association.
